Western medicine

Western medicine as the treatment that uses all kind of therapies, medicaments and technology, by doctors, nurses and other conventional healthcare providers who employ methods developed according to Western medical and scientific traditions.

Western medicine encompasses all types of conventional medical treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and physical therapy.

The main benefit of traditional medicine is that the work of allopathic practitioners is subject to rigorous safety and effectiveness protocols. Treatments and medications pass a strict review before a patient can receive them. While some Eastern medicine treatments have been the subject of clinical trials and long-term studies, they are in the minority.

The main of the cons of the western system is that it is based primarily on treating disease rather than prevent them, which leaves us two options: treat the disease and hope that the treatment is appropriate for this to heal, or treatment failure and so the person has the disease all his life or die.
This medical system is the most used today and especially in the west, as we are used to not take care of our habits and simply take medication every time we feel bad, or detect anything out of the “common”.

In every westen modern society, medicine is the fight against disease, and has made its way to prevent disease and promote health. Health systems need to be considered simultaneously as social and cultural systems. not only curative medical care systems.

The problems at the western approach is primarily that it is more important to try to cure the disease so they avoid it from the start. This approach leads to many health problems and some of them incurable and high risk.

It is currently campaigning to change this approach and prevent rather than cure.

Some tips that can be done to prevent diseases are:

  •  Try not to smoke, or go to places where they do
  • A balanced diet
  • Be active, practice some sports.
  • Take care of your body, no toxic substances such as alcohol, tabacco and / or drugs.
  • A checkup from time to time to take control.

The main idea is to take care of yourself watching your habits, this is the best way to prevent diseases, so you can live healthier and longer.
