During the semester, we have made an arduous research of the top three medical systems, and have concluded that the ideal would be to develop a new medical system based on the current ones and the upcoming technology. This new system would be based on the proposal of the 4 “P”s of Leroy Hood, which refers to “prediction, prevention, personalization and participation.” In the first two points we would use the western technological tools in the analysis of Western medical system (such as DNA analysis and biomedicine), and considered preventive therapies from Ayurveda and the Chinese system.
In the area of personalization we would take selected therapies and a study should be done for its application to be consistent with the patient, and the last point means that the patient becomes active and involved in your treatment and rehabilitation at all times.
The main point or basis of our medical system is: Who’s the responsible of health? in our point of view is ourselves, and basing the whole proposal in this statement we
should take in count the training that we will need for survival in Mars, and the specialists that we should consider in the mission.
