During travel and stay on Mars we do have several risks we discussed in class like:

    1. The Emerge of New Diseases: Our team is certain that the astronauts that take off to Mars are going to be flawless and healthy, but we cannot assure the same conditions in the Martian ground, the magnitude of this can go from a simple Martian flu to a Massive environmental disease.
    2. Anxiety Disorders: The main reason an anxiety disorder can be triggered is because of Isolation, being stuck on a routine and/or lack of communication. The symptoms are stress, oppression and irritability. In order to our Roundtable agreement, we concluded that the only way to fight anxiety is with medication, such as Prozac.
    3. Mental and psychologic Disorders: When the Neurotransmitters fail, the result is Bipolarity, brain illness and headaches, this can also cause a major depression. In this case, the only thing to do in order to eradicate or balance the disease, is by a special therapy and/or medications.
    4. Sexual Transmitted Diseases: Our team has no problem on accepting the sexual relations in the mission, the only issue here are the STD’s , because diseases such as AIDS can be very difficult to control (not curable).
    5. Leisure: Leisure time can be really good or really bad, it depends in the use that the person gives to it, because you can do a lot of stuff, but in the other hand, there is a possibility to fall on a boring routine that may lead to depression or other anxiety illnesses
    6. Bones and Muscular weakening
    7. In Mars, astronauts can be exposed to even higher doses. During solar storms, a single dose of radiation could be equivalent to several hundred chest x-rays. Therefore it’s essential that all spacecrafts  and stations at Mars have designated storm shelters because large amounts of radiation can cause severe damage by altering DNA in the genes.
